Harlem Masionette<Back This 6000 sq. ft. was built in 1898. It had remained a single family house until the 1990's, when it was turned into a group home for 12 troubled teens by a not-for-profit. As a result, the house endured some hard use during this period. In addition, the house's major systems (e.g., heating, plumbing, electrical and roof) needed replacement, having reached their maximum life expectancy. A professional couple purchased the house and engaged us to completely restore the house. We were asked to replace the major systems, install central air conditioning, renovate the house's two kitchens and five bathrooms, rebuild the main staircase, and restore the woodwork, plaster walls and floors throughout. The result was a splendid home for this family. |
